Open Question: Should South Florida be the 51st state and how will this affect us politically?

January 13th, 2010 -- Posted in Palm Beach County | No Comments »

Apparently, local South Florida officials are upset over the treatment received by the state government and are looking to split the state in two. The state will be divided between north and south, with the dividing line being drawn along the Palm Beach county line.

The last time secession succeeded in Florida was in 1925, when Gilchrist County broke from Alachua County over road-spending and cow-fencing laws. It is time for other municipalities in Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties to follow Margate and North Lauderdale’s lead in creating the 51st State of these United States.

Open Question: How to skip a grade in Florida?

January 13th, 2010 -- Posted in Palm Beach County | No Comments »

Ok well right now I’m in 7th grade. In FL we take a state test called the FCAT and I want to know if there is any possible way i can skip 8th grade. On the FCAT I got a 5 in reading and a high 4 in math. I took the diagnostics (practice FCAT) and i got a 5 on math. But science isn’t really my strongest subject in the world and I’m OK at civics. On my first semster of report cards I got straight As. But on the second, 3 classes went down to a B (but a 86-89%) so I really want to know if there is ANY possible way to skip a grade.. Also if it helps the distric my school is in is called ‘Palm Beach County’

Open Question: My dog is sick I need to take him to the vet but can’t afford it. Anyone know inexpnsve vets in Palm beach?

January 13th, 2010 -- Posted in Palm Beach County | No Comments »

I’m looking for something in palm beach county maybe around wellington or royal palm. I really need to take him to the vet but this economy has left me struggling. Any info would be great. Thanks
I’d take him to a regular vet but when my other dog of 10 years got ill last year that regular vet who I thought was very nice ended up charging me over a $1000 just to tell me she couldn’t help my dog then misdiagnosed him. He ended up being put to sleep before I could see him so no I don’t want to take my other dog there.
