Dr. Amy Botwinick recently filmed an episode of her Web-based TV show “Divorce Rehab” in which a group of women bonded over teamwork exercises, including a ropes course, a rock wall and a repel course at Florida Atlantic University. The idea behind the show is to help women bounce back from the personal and professional havoc that divorce can wreak.

Medical detox program opens on Delray Medical Center’s campus

Noticing a need to help residents struggling with chemical dependency, Delray Medical Center has opened an 18-patient, short- stay Medical Detoxification Program with a staff of 54 medical and psychiatric physicians at the Fair Oaks Pavilion located on the hospital’s ranch-style campus. The detox lasts five to seven days and then the staff uses its long list of referrals and sober houses to get residents back on track toward a healthy, prosperous lifestyle.
