CRA wants to fill first floor of parking garage with art groups

The Community Redevelopment Agency wants to fill 10,000 square feet of the vacant space on the first floor of the Old School Square Parking Garage with nonprofit art groups. The request for proposals went out to sublease the ground floor retail space, an area that’s part of the Pineapple Grove Arts District and a prime location at the intersection of Northeast Second Avenue and Northeast First Street.

Lake Worth Drainage District officials want Delray Beach customers to know that the Environmental Protection Agency, gatekeeper of the nation’s stormwater reservoirs, made a recent major change regarding stormwater nutrient standards that if enacted would require that 21,000 acres of Palm Beach County be used for stormwater cleanup – a cost they said could raise stormwater bills six-fold.


City set to begin water disinfection program next month

A super-chlorination disinfection program will add chlorine to city tap water during a one-month period starting April 5. City officials are advising water customers who depend on kidney dialysis machines and owners of high-end fish tanks and aquariums to take notice.
